Dogs do better with a rhythm. The day shifts with the dogs we have here, but the routine stays the same: play in rotation, a real rest after lunch, and a calm wind-down before heading home.

A mellow senior and a two-year-old Lab don't want the same kind of afternoon. We match dogs by temperament and play style—not size alone—with at least two groups each day and solo play available at no extra charge.

What to bring the first time
Everything on this list is about keeping the whole group healthy, safe, and comfortable. If you're already an R Veterinary client, we may already have much of what we need on file.
Things parents ask us
My dog has never done day care. Will they be okay?
That is exactly what the free meet & greet is for. We introduce your dog to a couple of calm regulars and watch how they settle. Plenty of dogs start with a half day, and some tell us clearly that day care is not their thing — we will always give you the honest version of what we see.
How do you decide which group my dog joins?
We run two groups — Fun & Feisty for confident, high-energy dogs, and Easy Goers for seniors and mellow personalities. We match on temperament and play style rather than size alone, we decide it together at the meet & greet, and we will move a dog mid-day if they would be happier in the other group. Staff stay in the yard with the dogs rather than watching through a window.
What happens if my dog gets hurt or sick during the day?
Our doctors and registered vet techs are always on staff. We call you before doing anything beyond basic first aid, and your dog is already in our system.
Can I bring my own food?
Please do — a sudden diet change is the fastest route to an upset stomach. Send meals pre-portioned and labeled and we will feed on your schedule, away from the group.
Do you offer boarding too?
Yes. Overnight boarding runs out of the same building, and boarding guests join day care groups during the day at no extra charge — so nobody sits in a suite waiting for you.
How late can I pick up?
Any time before 5:00p on weekdays. We ask that drop-off happen before 9:30a so your dog joins their group at the start of play rather than walking into one already going.
The part other day cares can't offer.
Play care at Romaine Creek runs inside a working R Veterinary clinic. If your dog tweaks a paw at 11am, a veterinarian looks at it at 11:05 — and you get a phone call, not a note at pick-up.
